News: FHS Choir members compete in UIL Solo, Ensemble

           Forty-seven choir students participated in the UIL Solo and Ensemble contest held Saturday, February 20 at Angleton High School.
           Twenty-seven students performed a Class 1 solo and earned a Division 1-Superior rating, qualifying them for the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest held in Austin in May. 

          Those students include the following: Justin Barringer, Katie Beaman, Emily Beazley, Maddy Bennett, Elizabeth Cotter, Rachel Cragin, Blythe Dever, Austin Edwards, Catherine Goode, Michael Gregory, Jenecka Hamilton, Kevin Honan, Ashlee James, Ryan Kahre, Christin Knight, Emily Kowis, Jasmine Li, Maggie Love, Hali McLarrin, Jonathan Miller, Mason Patterson, Ben Peck, Victoria Vaughn, Sienna Watson, Caleb Wimer, Alexis Zamora, and David Zurawski.
          Earning a Division 1-Superior rating on a Class 2 solo were the following: Mallory Ballard, Elisabeth Del Toro, Brittany Dolezal, Kristen Foster, Michael Goodman, Ellie Herder, James Goodwin Lipscomb, Vinnie Mahal, Grace O'Donovan, Ariana Randal, Alexandra Semple, Rachel Slusky, Nathan Stevens, and Kayla Taylor.
          Earning Division II-Excellent ratings were the following: AmyJo Foreman, Sean Goodwin Lipscomb, Athena Metaxas, Andrew Philp, Amanda Solar, and Gabrielle Thornhill.
