The FHS Wind Ensemble will be having two local preview concerts before performing at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio on February 12.
            The performance at the convention is in recognition of the FHS Wind Ensemble winning the Class AAAA Honor Band Title (State Champion) for 2009-2010.

           The first concert will be in the Friendswood HS Auditorium on Sunday, January 31, at 3 pm. The second concert will be at the University of Houston on Thursday, February 4, at 7:30 pm. The public is invited and the concerts are free.
            The FHS band is directed by Gregory Dick.
