The Friendswood High School Wranglerettes and Officers were named large team National Champions at ADTS' National Championship at the University of North Texas last weekend.
They competed against more than 100 teams and were the highest scoring high school team of the contest.
They won first in their division in kick, pom and novelty, and first runner up in jazz.

The Wranglerettes were named first runner up for the academic championship based on their team average GPA of 3.6153, and were voted as one of three Outstanding Teams by the other schools in attendance.
The dance officers won first in jazz, hip hop and lyrical. The social officers won the officer novelty category competing against other schools' dance officers.  The Dream Ensemble was named National Champions, and the Illusion Ensemble was first runner up.
Seven of the 10 soloists were named large team solo finalists including:  Ashley Cupples (Winner), Bianca Buentello (1st Runner Up), Elizabeth Cotter (2nd Runner Up), Kyndal Goza (3rd Runner Up), Lexie Everett (4th Runner Up tie), Emily Cain (4th Runner Up tie), and Amanda Nobles (5th Runner Up).
