Bales Intermediate hosted another successful Fine Arts Day on campus recently.
Students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades were able to rotate into fine arts presentations throughout the school day.
Presenters included Kerri Yee and the Friendswood High School cheerleaders, Mark Urbina and the Friendswood Junior High Drum ensemble, Bales Music Teacher Theron Sharp with his saxophone and Westwood Elementary Music Teacher Laura Rachita with her flute. |

Also providing fine arts entertainment were the Aloha Spirit Company Hula Dancers, Jesse Garcia and Vicious Germz Break Dancing Crew, Melissa Victorick and the Friendswood High School Debate Team, Emily Egan and Clear Lake Laido (Japanese Martial Arts) and Ellie Ashley with Greek dancers.
Volunteer Sara Peters was in charge of the annual sixth grade mural that is painted on a wall within the campus.
Ted Reves volunteered with his Iron Oil painting and Ava Hermes presented quilting. Graffiti artist Daniel Anguilu showcased his art and students learned about card making from Sandy Shaw.
Space painting was presented by Sherri Lee and Melissa Cooney and Lisa Norwood organized and held a photo contest with judges. Students also enjoyed Jackson Pollack bubble art, and a bird feeder craft demonstration.
Sara Peters set-up all the presenters/volunteers. Lunch was set-up and provided by Monette Bright & Sara Peters.
