The Mighty Mustang Band has been named the Lone Star Preview Class 4A Champion and earned a spot in the finals.
      The Mustang Band finished second overall in the entire contest, regardless of class, to Brazoswood High School.
      There were a total of 24 bands with those competing mostly 5A's, according to FHS Band Director Greg Dick.

       Other bands in the finals included Clear Brook, Klein, Dawson, Travis, Dekanney, Dickinson, Hendrickson and The Woodlands College Park.
       The Mustang Band won the Outstanding Visual, Outstanding General Effect, and Outstanding Color Guard Awards in Class 4A.
       In the finals, the Mustang Band won the Outstanding Music Performance Award.
       This is the highest finish ever by the Mustang Band at the Lone Star Preview.
       “Congratulations to the students for their hard work and determination!” Dick said.
