Windsong Intermediate students were chosen recently for three Robotics Teams that will compete in December.
    Out of the 22 fifth and sixth grade applicants 12 were chosen. The 12 include Jonathan Hansen, Robert Lincecum, Woody Connell, Sinjin Sharma, Cole McCoy, Dillon Bridwell, Sarah P., Tyler Bandini, Mark Kilgore, Victor Liaw, Daniel Isaac and Chris Alexander.  

     There will be three teams of four students, each working with the NXT Robotics Kits to create and program a robot to perform a basic task that could be used in the real world.
     All applicants were asked to write an essay telling about their experiences with robotics, programming, lego building, etc. They were also asked to include why they thought they would be a good asset to the team. The area competition is set for December 12, 2009.
