Six alumni are set to be honored at the upcoming Friendswood ISD Education Foundation Luv Ya Blue Event February 13 at the Hotel ZaZa in Houston.
            Who will these alumni be?
            That decision is in the hands of community members in Friendswood ISD.

           Nominees must be FHS graduates between 1940-1988 who have distinguished lives, careers and/or accomplishments, standing out in their area, state, nation or internationally. Deadline for forms is October 31, 2009.
            Nominations can be made on forms available at the alumni website at www.fisdk12.net.
            This will be the third year of honoring alumni. The first set of Distinguished alumni consisted of Linn Eignus, Larry Speck, Larry Taylor, Anita Griffon and Honorary Alumnus, Dr. Myrlene Kennedy. Last year’s alumni included Kent Ballard, Jim Hill, Beryl Cline, Floyd Brown, Randy Speck, and Honorary Alumnus, Dr. David Hearn.
            Distinguished alumni are named with one of the Six Pillars of Character each.  A poster is made of the winners and then displayed in every classroom in all six campuses in FISD.
