Sonic restaurants, in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, are supporting public school teachers now through October 1.  Several FISD teachers are involved.
           Customers need only purchase a drink at Sonic; each drink counts as a vote for a favorite teacher's project.  Sonic will donate more than a half million dollars to projects receiving the most votes. 

           First-grade teacher Morgan Ryza submitted a completely kid-initiated project for a waste-free lunch, so Westwood could use area votes. 
           So could Bales, as fifth-grade teachers submitted a proposal to try to get some additional triple beam balances for their students. 
           Just visit www.limeadesforlearning.com and search by state, then city, to find other Friendswood projects to support.  Then enter the peel-off tab's code from a Sonic drink cup.
