News: September is National America on the Move month
posted: Sept. 1, 2009

September is National America on the Move month, and Friendswood ISD PE and Wellness Coach Kurt Westhoff is lining up activities for the district.

He is lining up family activities and sharing them with elementary teachers.

For Friendswood High School he has set up, through Advantage Fitness, free introductory Boot Camp,  a fitness program for high school students and high school teachers.

Boot Camp will start September 8 and continue every Tuesday at 6:30 am at the tennis courts.

Flyers for students and teachers to pre-register will go out next week. The limit will be 25 but if more are interested, Advantage Fitness will set up another day, according to Westhoff.

Other activities already set for elementary and junior high students include Friendswood recreation dept. annual PUNT PASS AND KICK competition set for Sept 18 (also free) at Centennial Park.
