A service project ended recently at Cline Elementary and the fruits of its labor will be sent all over the world.
Third grade students in Sharon Sullivan and Margy Price's classes started H.O.M.E., a project to help the military. Helping Our Military Endure was a way for the classes to collect items of need for service men and women that serve the country.
The students in these classes visited every class in the school to tell all the children about H.O.M.E.
They also made fliers to be sent home so parents would know what was needed and what the project hoped to do.
For the past month, the students have been collecting items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, combs, brushes, razors, snacks, and other food and sundries that soldiers can’t get where they are.
Soldiers and military representatives joined the elementary campus recently to accept the items. The many donations will be mailed to troops that are stationed in other countries. The visiting military personnel were able to tell the students about themselves and were entertained by the students also.
