News: Farewell event for artist, Larry Dyke at Frame Shop, painting for bids

           Internationally known artist and Friendswood resident Larry Dyke is leaving the area. Before he relocates to the Texas Hill Country, Dyke is donating the sale of a large grande edition of his 30” x 60” Giclee on canvas, Storm Clouds on the Sabinal to the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation.
            Dyke’s work and hometown life will be celebrated May 21 at A Farewell Art Show for Larry at Friendswood Frame and Gallery. A free raffle will be given for an original study by Dyke in preparation for creating the large painting. The public is invited.
            The large canvas was framed by Joe Prihoda at Friendswood Frame and Gallery, where the events will honor Dyke on May 21. The painting will be on display through May 20 and bids are being accepted during this time. The painting will be awarded to the highest bidder during the Farewell events at the frame shop.
            Friendswood Frame and Gallery will host a huge sale that day and 25 percent of the profits of the items sold will also be given to the Education Foundation.
