Huntington Learning Center has partnered with the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation and has donated funds from a fundraiser held at the Pearland location.
            The learning facility hosted an SAT test practice workshop for students and donated the entry fee from Friendswood ISD students to the Foundation.
            “Spring break affected our turnout but it definitely allowed us to enhance operational procedures for a larger turnout next time!” Katherine Ideno, Regional Director, said.
            Ideno and her husband, Andrew Yee, presented the donation to Foundation President Guy Crouch.  The two had recently also adopted a grant to give to the teachers in FISD and were part of the surPRIZE Patrol that delivered the grants April 1.
            “With the increased awareness of the FISD Education Foundation, we anticipate the future SAT fundraisers will provide support for the foundation,” Ideno said. “We heard very positive feedback form the parents regarding supporting FISD.”
            Crouch was appreciative of the donation and spoke for the board of directors.
            “We thank Huntington Learning Center for their support now and in initiating future support for the Foundation through helping students practice for their SAT!” Crouch said.
            Huntington Learning Center is located at 3205 E. Broadway St. in Pearland.
