The Lady Mustangs started the 2nd half of district on the right track by defeating Texas City 5-0 on Friday. 
            They had a bye on Tuesday, as the JV defeated Clear Falls 9-8. 
            On Friday, the Lady Mustangs would score 1 in the 2nd, 1 in the 4th and 3 in the 6th when the Lady Stings defense would commit three errors. 
            Offensively for the Lady Mustangs is Amber Mills with 2 hits, scoring 1 run, and knocking in 1; Caitlin Garivey getting 2 hits, scoring a run, and driving in a run; Lindsey Davis hitting a double and driving in 2 runs; Lauren Massar getting 1 hit; Kelsi Acosta getting a hit and scoring a run; and Jackie Dubcak getting a double, and scoring a run.  Luaren Massar got the win on the mound pitching an excellent game.  She pitched a 1 hitter, striking out 8 and walking 1.  The hit came in the 7th inning.  Lauren is now 14-8 overall and 6-1 in District. 
            The Lady Mustangs are 16-9 overall and 6-1 in District. 
            Next up is Galveston Ball on Tuesday at Friendswood.  It is Teacher Appreciation Night.  The Lady Mustangs will travel to Pearland Dawson on Friday.
