The FHS JV Cheerleaders left their mark at the 2011 Cheer America Competition recently at Reliant Center. The girls won first place.
    They participated in a National Competition against other junior varsity high school squads.
    They performed the routine on Saturday and Sunday.
    The JV girls took first in the competition. Varsity also competed in the same competition and won second among the varsity squads.
    “Both teams performed very well and we are proud of our girls!” sponsor Jennifer VanAckeren said.
    JV Competition Squad includes Leah Blair, Olivia Briand, Tori Burtzlaff, Ashton Clement, Clare Courtin, Lara Gardner, Maggie Geiler, Michaella Hickey, Danica Jimenez, Stephanie Leblanc, Meghan Lewis, Abby Livesay, Maddie Lockwood, Erica Mcdonald, Maddie McDonough, Hannah Montz, Mason Newkirk, Alissa Ratcliff, Julia Robinson, Gabby Salinas, Lauren Sellers, Rachel Steed, Kamri Stiefel, and Rachel Woods.
