News: Third Lacrosse Extravaganza set for April 1 at FHS stadium
posted: March 28, 2011

The third annual Lacrosse Extravaganza will be April 1, 2011 at 7:30 pm, at the Henry Winston Stadium. It will feature the lacrosse match between Friendswood Varsity vs. Stratford.
Tickets are $2 for adults and $1 for students. If students wear Mustang related clothing, they will get in free.
The Friendswood High School Lacrosse Program has begun its fifth year as of January 2011.  The past two years, to bring more attention to the sport and to increase the attendance at the games, the team and Booster Club raffled and auctioned off several prizes that were donated by local businesses at the Extravaganza fundraiser.
“Our goal is to break the attendance record for the Varsity Lacrosse game and exceed the proceeds from last year’s raffle & silent auction of $6,000,” Extravaganza Chair Grace M. Moore said.
With the raffle, auction and attendance, the team raised more than $10,000 to provide uniforms and equipment for the expanding league. This year’s proceeds will be donated to the expanding FISD Lacrosse Program.
           Coach is Steven Kirk.
