Friendswood High School graduating senior, Kevin Honan, was honored and recognized recently by the Navy Recruiting District of Houston with a scholarship to be used as he pursues higher education.
            In recognition of superior academic and personal accomplishment, Honan was awarded the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Scholarship of $180,000.
            Honan will be attending the University of Texas A&M.
            He is subject to completion of all requirements for enrollment in NROTC and continued eligibility for commissioning in the United States Navy.
            Commander S. F. Friloux, Commanding Officer of the Navy Recruiting District Houston presented the scholarship.
