News: Writing & Publishing Your 1st book (or 7th)
posted: November 2, 2010

Friendswood ISD Community Education is pleased to announce that Ms. Bobbie Christensen, California author of twelve published books including award-winners and best sellers, will soon offer her popular writing and publishing class to Friendswood area residents.
Ms. Christensen will show you how to develop and complete your manuscript in just six weeks by following her own 10-step plan.  You will learn how to create a page-turner whether you are writing fiction or non-fiction, cookbook or textbook!
You will also learn how to submit your work to a publisher or to self-publish and keep the profits, plus all about POD’s, ebooks, etc.  Class includes forms, contracts, samples, etc.
One satisfied student stated, “I’ve been to many other writing and publishing classes but [Bobbie Christensen] changed my view of what is possible… the information was incredible… “  (Nancy Wile, Ed.D., Las Vegas).  Quoting another student’s evaluation, “Every minute was packed with specific information that I really needed… even though I have an extensive background in marketing, I learned a LOT about effective marketing… invaluable,”  (DeeAnn Merriman, Carrollton, TX).
Writing & Publishing Your 1st Book (or 7th) is scheduled for Thursday, November 11, 6:30-10 pm, at Friendswood High School.  Advance registration is required.  Cost is $45 per student, with another $15 cash materials fee payable to the instructor at the class for the book, Writing, Publishing & Marketing Your 1st Book (or 7th) and free consulting at any time.
Please contact the FISD Community Education Office, 281-482-6000 or lbridgett@fisdk12.net, about how to register for this class or for information about this or any other class.  Registration forms are available on the Community Education webpage located at www.fisdk12.net under Departments.
