The first classes taught in water aerobics are underway at the Friendswood Aquatic Center. All classes are led by certified water aerobics instructors and are 60 minutes in length. Tuesday-Thursday classes are $60 for the session and Monday-Wednesday-Friday are $90 for the session (Cash or check payable to FISD).
New classes are now available for enrollment. These sessions are nine weeks, October 4 through December 3. Enrollment in any class is limited to the first 25 paid enrollments.
Evening classes will meet from 6:30-7:30 M-W-F, or T-Th. These classes are deep water only and use “Aquajogger” equipment. Participants should be comfortable in deep water and will be supported with the “Aquajogger” buoyancy belt. Other “Aquajogger” equipment will be added under the guidance of the instructor. This is a no impact workout program that can be easily adjusted to individual needs and goals.
Morning classes run 9-10 and 10-11 T-Th. These classes will have access to the entire pool under the guidance of the instructor and may include shallow and deep water workouts to adjust to individual needs. “Aquajogger” equipment will also be used in these classes.
To sign up, come by the Friendswood Aquatic Center, 1115 Falling Leaf between 6 am and noon and 1 until 8 pm.
