Third grader at Westwood is Face of Friendswood in Adopt a Grant program
Ridout   Have you seen the face of John Ridout in posters around Friendswood? He is the face of Friendswood in a campaign regarding the Adopt a Grant program for the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation.
It is his face that represents more than 2000 student faces in FISD, asking the community, families, businesses and individuals to "adopt a grant." Teachers in the district post grant requests for programs, projects, and equipment that the budget cannot afford to give them.
Two new online courses added to FISD Community Ed

Community Ed has partnered with ed2go to offer hundreds of online, instructor-led courses and is pleased to announce the launch of two new courses: "What's New in Microsoft Office 2010" and "Photoshop Elements 10 for the Digital Photographer II."  Find out more >>
Adopt a Grant program underway
Teachers and students in FISD have smiles on their faces. The Adopt a Grant program is underway and 68 grants for teachers in FISD have been adopted by the community so far. Teachers received Christmas cards and now Valentines to hear the news that someone or a business or group of individuals have purchased a grant that they have written.
All grants are for items not able to be purchased from the campus budget but will impact education and children during the school day.
The Adopt a Grant program is through the FISD Education Foundation.
CHECK OUT THE GRANTS for sale at http://www.fisdk12.net/community/foundation/adoptagrant.html
