  Beryl Cline, DVM, is a man of devotion to God, his church, to his family, to his profession, and to his community. He is currently one of six Distinguished Alumni chosen to be honored by FHS alumni and the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation at their annual fundraiser March 7. The True Blue Evening honoring the six will take place at Space Center Houston.

  There have been an increasing number of students coming to school with symptoms of upper respiratory infections, stomach viruses, and even the flu.  To protect the health of everyone on our campuses, please follow the requirements for sending students to school.
· FEVER:  Students must be free of fever for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol/Motrin.
· STREP:  Be on antibiotic for 24 hours.
· VOMITING/DIARRHEA:  No symptoms for 24 hours

FHS hosts science fair
  Even though science fair is no longer mandatory, this year's entries amount to 44 in 11 different categories.
  This year's participation in the FHS Science Fair was entirely voluntary, and yet the event still had 40 projects in 11 categories. FHS Science Department had 27 expert judges from the community and area industry, such as Exxon and NASA that judged the entries. The winners are ...

   Members of the True Blue Event committee prepare invitations for Friendswood ISD's Education Foundation annual fundraiser event to be held at Space Center Houston on Saturday, March 7, 2009. Lesley DiBello, CiCi Newkirk and Selena Ellis are working hard with other committee members to make sure that the evening is fun and memorable. Six Distinguished Alumni will honored, including Beryl Cline, Floyd Brown Jr., Randy Speck, Jim Hill, Kent Ballard and Honorary Alumni, Dr. David Hearn. BooksFHS Academic Decath team advances to State comp
   Friendswood High School students on the Academic Decathlon team won this weekend at the A.D. regional competition and are advancing to the final competition.
   They won overall team for medium sized schools and will be going to San Antonio at the end of the month for the state meet.
