Rodeo Art
FISD rodeo art winners
  Students at all levels in FISD were honored with awards after the judging of rodeo art for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Exhibit. The juried show is judged by rodeo judges and the team notes Best of Show, Gold Medal winners, Finalists and first through third place awards.
  The Best of Show and Gold Medal winners' artwork will be exhibited in the Reliant Center for the duration of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo event. The remaining artwork from the district will be exhibited at the ...
FISD pulls peanut butter products as voluntary recall is expanded
  When the initial recall of King Nut peanut butter was announced, Friendswood ISD Food Service checked all of its supplies and determined that the district had none of the product.
  Additionally, the recall did not affect retail peanut butter brands and posed no danger to students, according to Food Service Director, Joseph Fitzgerald.
  Since the recall seems to be evolving, FISD is taking the additional precaution of pulling all peanut butter products district wide, until the safety of the products can be assured.
  At this time, no illnesses have been reported in FISD due to peanut butter.
Bales Counselor
Bales counselor presents Natural High
  Stephanie Jones, Bales Intermediate counselor, presented an anti-drug lesson to all 5th grade classes titled Natural High. Students are taught a Natural High is achieved when you do an activity, art form, or sport you love to do and makes you feel good without the use of drugs and alcohol.

Cline Make A Difference
Cline 2nd grade & Spec Ed teachers honored for making a difference
  Two staff members at Cline Elementary were recognized and honored for making a difference every day by the Friendswood ISD Board of Trustees at their January meeting.
   Susan Bode is an integral part of Cline's Special Education team and Isabel Clark also makes a difference at Cline Elementary.

  Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) members at Friendswood High School brought home honors after competing recently.
  The students who placed in the top three will move on to State contest in April.

  Awards were brought home for Friendswood High School programming students after competing recently at Jersey Village High School Programming Contest.
