FISD rodeo art winners
Students at all levels in FISD were honored with awards after the judging of rodeo art for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Exhibit. The juried show is judged by rodeo judges and the team notes Best of Show, Gold Medal winners, Finalists and first through third place awards. The Best of Show and Gold Medal winners' artwork will be exhibited in the Reliant Center for the duration of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo event. FISD pulls peanut butter products as voluntary recall is expanded
When the initial recall of King Nut peanut butter was announced, Friendswood ISD Food Service checked all of its supplies and determined that the district had none of the product. Additionally, the recall did not affect retail peanut butter brands and posed no danger to students, according to Food Service Director, Joseph Fitzgerald. Since the recall seems to be evolving, FISD is taking the additional precaution of pulling all peanut butter products district wide, until the safety of the products can be assured. At this time, no illnesses have been reported in FISD due to peanut butter.
