Nine FHS students have been named National Merit Scholarship finalists.
The National Merit Scholarship Program has now determined which of the 16,000 semifinalists named in September 2008 have met all the requirements to advance to finalist standing in the competition. All finalists will be considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in 2009. |

The 2009 FHS finalists are Ben A. Braun, Bethany L. Burdick, John K. Georgeton, Aubrey A. Hildebrandt, Alexandria N. Ogden Allison M. Piwetz, Nicholas E. Vennekotter, Danielle N. Wilson, and Abigail L. Wolff.
The selection of approximately 8,200 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of more than 15,000 finalists is now in progress. |
