Individual awards were earned by Mindy Tiu with first place in girls singles; Cindy Tiu third place in girls singles; Mandy Branscome and Shannon Kyle with first place in girls doubles; Caity James and Lindsey Watson second place in girls doubles; Trevor Magers and Kirby Young second place in mixed doubles; Matt Kibikas and Lauren Baker third place in mixed doubles; Shelby Cruz first place in boys singles; Gabe Cantu third place in boys singles; Travis Runge and Cody Westphal first place in boys doubles; and Erik Linde and Chase Crouse with third place in boys doubles.
The people that finished first or second advance as qualifiers to the Region 3 4A tennis tournament to be held at Willis High School.
Third place finishers will serve as alternates in cases of injury, sickness, or loss of academic eligibility.
The junior varsity and freshman teams also won the team points awards for both girls and boys divisions.
