News: Friendswood High School Presents Association Award to 3 Outstanding Physics Students
posted: May 19, 2009

Three students have been selected as the Outstanding Physics Students at Friendswood High School.

FHS Science teacher Don McGowan presented Vanessa Rivera, Athena Metaxas, and Cailey Fitzgerald with certificates of achievement and gift memberships to the American Association of Physics.

The American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) is the world leader in promoting physics education at all levels. Each year the Association recognizes hundreds of outstanding physics students and grants them a one-year gift.

Each AAPT gift membership entitles the recipient to receive electronic access to their premier journals - the American Journal of Physics and The Physics Teacher as well as Physics Today. Each student also qualifies for free registration to their national meetings and discounts from the product catalog
