The Friendswood High School Drama Department is proud to present The Rose of Treason by James Devita. A fictional dramatization set in World War II Germany based on the true story of Sophie Scholl and the resistance group known as The White Rose. In Germany, 1943, a group of university students, appalled at the truth which is coming to light about the Nazi Party, start a resistance group aimed at bringing down Hitler and the Nazi regime. |

It is a true story of breathtaking courage, selflessness, and utter faith in what is right. The efforts of The White Rose, referred to once as "quite possibly the single most heroic feat in European history", are an inspiring tribute to the goodness of humanity shining even in the darkest moments of history. Ashley Dinjar leads the cast as Sophie with Nathan Hadley as Hans. The rest of the cast includes Lindsey Landers, Michael Moeller, Peter Kaminsky, Bobby Jacobs, Mark Walker, Zach Thompson, Jesse Roberts, Grace Worm, Paige Duncan, Colleen Owen, Juliana Ramirez, Michael Burke, Mark Milner, Caleb Wimer, Connor Tones, Anna Drake, Rachel So, Josh Liddle, Michael Kimmel, and Kevin Honnan. The crew includes Zach Reinert, Meghan Rutledge, and Jon Olansen.
