TEA Ranking: Recognized 2004, 2005 Exemplary 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010

Odyssey of the Mind: Team competes at World Competition for Odyssey of the Mind after winning first place at the Texas Odyssey of the Mind Association Finals. It took 2nd place at World competition.

Robotics: Friendswood Jr. High 2005 Robotics Team finished in 9th place while competing at the high school level in Austin. The other Jr. High teams both made it to the 4th round of the competition.

FJH recognized for Yearbook excellence: The Friendswood Junior High School yearbook staff has been recognized by Taylor Publishing Company with an Award of Excellence honoring its accomplishments in yearbook design and coverage. The FJH yearbook is featured in the 2005 Yearbook Yearbook. Judges selected the FJH yearbook as among the best.

JH Choir: 2004-2009: 11 UIL Sweepstakes 2009: Texas Music Educator's Association Region XVII Choir: Twenty-nine members chosen 2009: Three singers chosen for 2009 Texas Choral Director's Association MS/JH State Honor Choir 2009: FJH Varsity Treble Choir selected, from over 90 submitted choirs around the state, as an Invited Performing Choir for the 2010 Texas Music Educators' Association Convention

FJH recognized for Yearbook excellence: The Friendswood Junior High School yearbook staff has been recognized by Balfour|Taylor Yearbooks for their outstanding contribution to scholastic journalism. The FJH received Honorable Mention for their 2010 Yearbook and is featured in the 2011 Yearbook Yearbook.
