Kindergarten student, Annie Hawkins, recently enjoyed being "Principal for the Day" at Cline Elementary.
She was joined by First Grade student, Bryce Perry, who was the "Assistant Principal for the Day".
Principal and Assistant Principal for the Day are live auction items at our annual Clinefest.
 

 Second grade students at Cline Elementary recently won the "Wild About Reading" awards. Winners include Sam Smith, Kimberly Marchand, Ellen Wondra, Jauclynn Owens, Tyler Adair, Bhargish Patel, Nicholas Calapan, Anna Gibson, Ian Corrao, Sameer Mahmood, Eva Baker, Kaitlin Soltis, Emma Bukowski, Diego Alcantar, Noah Schott, Blake Cappadona, Emily Crespo, Alison Tang, Michael O'Brien, and  Karim Mahmood.

Using natural resources, animals from every species were created and presented as part of a social studies assignment. The students who were studying animals and their habitats assembled animals from stone, sticks, pinecones and other natural materials and then gave an oral report to the class.

Cline Kindergartners went on a field trip recently to Manna Fields Farms in Angleton.
They saw a butterfly garden, viewed farm animals fed the cows on a hay ride, rode a farm train, jumped on a giant pillow and slid on the giant slide.

at Cline Elementary as one of their many
Earth Day activities.

Congratulations to Kathy Schultz, Author of Moving from Wisconsin
for being recognized as a Finalist in the 2008 HoustonPBS Reading Rainbow Writer and Illustrator Contest.The awards ceremony was held May 3, at The Children's Museum of Houston, honoring outstanding authors ranked in the top 10%. She attends Cline Elementary and her story was submitted by Margy Price, her third grade teacher.

Gricelda Damico's first grade class at Cline Elementary has been busy examining different kinds of soil.
They talked about weathered rocks and recreated the process of rock erosion.
