Miss Reed and Mrs. Denman's 3rd grade classes enjoyed hosting a Presidential Primary Mock Election. The third grade students wanted to give all Cline students and faculty the opportunity to learn more about the election process and exercise their right to vote! John McCain won with 332 votes. Both classes are also enjoying the book Class President and will be conducting their own class Presidential elections after Spring Break! There is already talk of who is interested in running, why he or she would make a good President, and who wants to be campaign managers. Both teachers joke they hope they will not be elected out of office! :) Stay tuned to know who will be the next Class President Winner= John McCain 332 Votes Clinton 168 Votes Obama 143 Votes EEach class discussed the duties of the President of the United States, analyzed positive characteristics a leader would have incorporating the Six Pillars of Good Character, and wrote nominating essays for the candidate proving why he or she is best qualified for the office. All candidates have accepted the nomination and each are plotting his or her campaign strategies. Reed's class has a brother and sister competing for the bid of the "White House." The classes are currently busy learning about campaigning with the election being held soon.
