She joins the administration building from FHS where she has served as bookkeeper and then registrar for nine years. She joined FISD after a corporate career in banking. Her son, Patrick is an FHS graduate with a finance degree from Notre Dame University. He currently works in New York City. Her son Matthew is a senior at FHS and will attend Texas Tech in the fall. Her husband Jesse is a banker in downtown Houston.  Riveron replaces Hazel Johnson who served as the Foundation liaison while serving as Deputy Superintendent for the district. Johnson is now retired from FISD and a board member on the Foundation. 2 HONORED WITH TAKE THE BULL BY THE HORNS AWARD Stephen Huffman, past president and board member of the Friendswood Education Foundation, was presented the Take the Bull by the Horns Award by current Foundation President Michael Wegner at the March meeting. Huffman was honored for his achievements while president and his continued, outstanding work with the group.   Elaine Manning also received the Take the Bull by the Horns Award for her tireless and continued outstanding work on the Foundation. She chairs the major fundraiser for the Foundation which includes two Gourmet Gents & Gems Men Who Cook events and two Puttin' on the Ritz Casino nights.
