To celebrate six new directors in the Friendswood
Education Foundation, a reception was held recently. FEF directors,
school administrators and the new directors met for a Meet and
Greet event. Denise Ruiz hosted the event.
Joining the Foundation as directors are Daniel
Gage, Allan Rasmussen, Larry Taylor, Kathryn Thompson, Zoe Buzbee
and Kim Brizendine.
FEF President Mike Wegner introduced the new
directors to those attending.
The FEF is beginning its ninth year in the
district and thus far, has given FISD teachers more than $400,000
in grants for use in classrooms and campuses for innovative teaching
ideas, programs and initiatives.
Current directors include Wegner, Vice President
Midge Davis, Secretary Trish Hanks, and Treasurer John Blair.
Directors also include Sally Branson, Guy Crouch, Joseph Ditta,
Randy Ellis DDS, Jennifer Evans, Mark Gill, Brent Goswick, Mike
Hickey, Nona Landers, Elaine Manning, CiCi Newkirk, Sheila Phillips,
Wendy Pope, Shawn Potter, William Rearick, Denise Ruiz, Cheryl
Sauls, Chris Sellers, Alton Todd, Ron Wheeler and Lucy Woltz.
