- MISSION STATEMENT
- It is the purpose and mission of the Friendswood I.S.D Kindergarten
program, in a joint effort with faculty, staff, parents, and
the community to provide all children an education which fosters
a caring, secure environment in which sound teaching practices
are incorporated, a variety of teaching strategies are used,
and expectations are set high for every student. This environment,
in turn, supports the development of academic potential, character
development, a healthy self-concept, understanding of others,
an appreciation of the environment, technology skills, and scholastic
risk takers. It is our expectation that providing children with
this educational opportunity will help guarantee that each child
will become a productive and responsible member of society.

- 1. Proof of Residency (utility bill showing name and current
date, i.e., light bill, water bill, Entex bill, lease contract)
- 2. Original State Birth Certificate (no hospital certificate)
- 3. Child's Social Security Card
- 4. Immunization record showing:
- * 4 doses of DTP/DTaP/DT incl. one since 4th birthday
- * 3 doses of OPV (polio) incl. one since 4th birthday
- * 2 doses of Measles/Mumps/Rubella vaccine given after first
birthday
- * 3 doses of Hepatitis B
- * 1 Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or documentation of illness
if born after 9/1/94. Given after first birthday
- * Hepatitis A recommended.
- If you have a question about shots, bring the record to the
school nurse prior to the time of registration.
