Bales Intermediate art teacher Vicki Berk’s artwork has been accepted into the 25th Texas & Neighbors Regional Art Exhibit for 2010. The piece was selected by juror from approximately 500 submissions.
            From the 80 accepted pieces, the juror will select 19 awards: Four First, Second, Third and one Honorable Mention awards from each category, one Best of Show, one Irving Arts Center Award of Excellence and one IAA Award of Excellence.

            The winners will be announced at the opening reception on May 23, 2010.
            The title of Berk’s artwork is Hurricane Ike Remains and it is 36" x 48" a mixed media piece with fabric, objects, different kinds of paint, and papers.
