The Friendswood High School UIL One Act Play, The Gunslinger: A Gulf War Chronicle, is advancing to Regional competition to be held on Thursday, April 22 at Atascocita High School.
           At Area competition at Friendswood ISD, Mason Conrad won the UIL League Medal for Best Actor. Chase Harris was presented an All Star Cast medal.

           Chris Haley and Michelle Wallace were named to the Honorable Mention All Star Cast.
Alex Mata received the Technical Medal for Crew.
           Teachers Cliff Mabry was Contest Manager, Amy Thornton site manager and Kay Jones and Melissa Victorick timers.
           Advancing with Friendswood ISD is Dawson High School in Pearland ISD. The alternate play is from Foster High School in Lamar Consolidated ISD.
           Friendswood came away with the most points, according to Director Kathy Powdrell.
           Other advancing Regional Schools include those high schools in Magnolia, Magnolia West, Nederland, Barber's Hill, and Pearland ISDs.
