Kindergarten Registration and new to Friendswood ISD first graders for Cline and Westwood Elementary students will have special registration times for the 2010-2011 school year. Special registration will be Thursday, May 6, 5-6:30 p.m. in the Westwood Cafeteria and in the Cline Cafeteria. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by September 1, 2010.

             Also at this time registration will be held for Early Childhood at Westwood Elementary. Special requirements are in place for this class.  Students must be 4 on or before September 1, 2010.  Children whose parent(s) is/are active in the military, or who qualify as economically disadvantaged (free & reduced lunch) are eligible to enroll for this preschool program, as well as students who are ELL (English Language Learners), those who are homeless, or those who have been in foster care.  Proof of the “qualifier” (military - ID, economically disadvantaged – food stamp, paycheck, ELL – tested, foster care – letter) will be required.

            ONLY A LEGAL GUARDIAN MAY REGISTER A STUDENT.

WHAT TO BRING TO REGISTER: (Originals and COPIES):
             1. Proof of Residency (utility bill showing legal guardian name and current date, i.e., light bill, water bill, gas bill, lease contract, closing papers). If you are building in FISD or residing with relatives or other persons having a legal residence in FISD, you must acquire the proper documentation from our administration office to show proof of residency.
             2. Driver’s license of legal guardian
             3. Original state birth certificate (NO hospital certificate)
             4. Child’s Social Security card
             5. Immunization record showing the following:
             - DTP/DTaP or DT At least 5 doses of DTP/DTaP or DT of which at least 1 dose received since the 4th birthday.
             - Oral Polio A minimum of 4 doses, one of which has been received since the 4th birthday.
             - Rubeola: Two doses of vaccine (10 day measles); Given after 1st birthday.
             - Rubella: Two doses of vaccine (3 day measles); Given after 1st birthday.
             - Mumps: Two doses of vaccine; Given after 1st birthday.
             - Hepatitis B: Three doses of vaccine
             - Varicella (Chicken Pox)Two dose requirement for entry into kindergarten
             - Hepatitis A Two dose requirement for entry into kindergarten
