Alison Rendon, Executive Director for Finance in Friendswood ISD, has been awarded an Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) International 2009 Bridges to the Future Scholarship.
The scholarship assists in defraying the costs of attending ASBO International’s 95th Annual meeting and exhibits October 23-26, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. |

The Bridges to the Future Scholarship Program is an opportunity for new and aspiring school business officials to network with colleagues, participate in professional development and explore the variety of school business management resources ASBO International offers.
Rendon will have the opportunity to attend pre-conference workshops and networking luncheon at the annual meeting. She will also have free access to ASBO’s Live Learning Center that will capture more than 75 hours of professional development from the 2009 meeting.
Rendon has been in FISD for two years. Prior to FISD, she worked in Finance in Channelview ISD.
Scholarships were given to 20 applicants. Rendon is the only recipient from Texas. She will be joined by others from as far away as India, New Mexico, Oregon, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, Indiana, Ohio, Connecticut, Arizona, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Canada, and Montana
