The cast of A Christmas Carol from Friendswood High School performed an abridged version of the play at the Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) at Memorial Hermann Dec. 12. The cast performed the 30-minute adaptation before more than 100 staff, patients, and their families.

Afterwards, they visited each floor wishing those who could not attend the performance a Merry Christmas and handing out candy canes.

The patients at TIRR are recovering from severe brain and spinal injuries including those caused by accidents and strokes. It was an enriching experience for all involved.

The cast and crew included Mason Conrad, Chris Hailey, Meagan Holmes, Teagan Batts, Chase Harris, Brian Gallagher, Bobby Jacobs, Kaylee Huff, Michelle Wallace, Paul Kersteins, Peter Kaminsky, Kyle Sanders, Rachel So, and Nelson Thornton under the direction of Amy Thornton.
