District contests were held recently for FFA members and several FHS members advanced to the Area contest level after the competition.
            The Jr. Quiz Team won first place in district. The four competed against 18 teams and competed individually against 70 individuals. The team consists of Hannah Wimberly, Claire Wimberly, Michaela Punchard and Lisa Harrington.

            Hannah Wimberly placed first for individual score overall, Claire placed sixth and Punchard placed ninth in individual score overall.
            In Sr. Quiz division, the FHS Sr. Quiz team placed fourth in district. They too competed against 18 teams and 70 individuals. Members include Ben Warren, Lauren Sommer, and Nick Sigler.
            The three placed in individual scores. Ben Warren placed sixth; Lauren Sommer placed eighth and Nick Sigler placed tenth.
            In Jr. Creed Speaking division, Shelby Giles placed sixth in district competing against 18 individuals.
            The Jr. Quiz team advanced to the Area contest in Brenham.
