On Monday, December 14, neither fog, mist, nor mosquitoes could keep Friendswood Junior High’s 7th and 8th grade girls Cross-country teams from bringing home a first place zone finish, according to Coach Marissa McCoy.
The following 7th graders placed in the top 25: Savannah Alaniz in first; Andria Harrison in fourth; Allison Goldston in sixth; Erika Clifford in seventh; Cara Cooper in 14th; Kaleigh Varner in 20th; Emma Zawila in 22nd; Sarah Mai in 23rd; and Elizabeth Labra 25th.
The following 8th graders placed in the top 25: Jamie McCullough in first; Angelique Waller in fourth; Gabrielle Ruffeno in fifth; Shelby Pioterek in eighth; Cortlyn Buck in 10th; Kate Rosendahl in 13th; Julia Twyford in 14th; Brittany Page in 15th; Sheryl Mathew in 16th; Brenan Regian in 18th; and Maddy Kimmel in 19th.
