The Art Club and the Astronomy Club at Friendswood High School had a successful event, Soles 4 Souls shoe drive for Haiti.  This drive was organized in conjunction with a larger drive by Galveston.com & Company in Galveston, Texas, who will be handling the actual shipping. 

           According to their wonderful staff, they have already filled one pod and are well on the way to another. 
            FHS members from both clubs helped prepare, box and load up donations for delivery recently.
“Thanks to the kind and generous hearts of our Friendswood community. They donated 17 boxes worth of shoes, including several from our local GirlScout Troop #1522. What a great gift of love to an area in such strong need and a great lesson in stewardship for our youth,” Astronomy Club SponsorDawne Welch and Art Club Sponsor Jenifer Sundrla said.
