News: Friendswood Rodeo Art

           The FISD Houston Livestock and Rodeo School Artwork Competition will be on display at the Art Alliance, 2000 NASA Parkway, across from the NASA Space Center, from January 14 until January 28, 2010.  All levels of school artwork from CCISD and Friendswood were judged on January 13 by a team of art professionals from the rodeo staff.

           Friendswood ISD's artwork will be on the upper level.  Winning artwork was taken to Reliant Center on January 13 to be exhibited for the duration of the rodeo. 
           The exhibit includes grades K through 12.
           Friendswood winners are in three categories: high school, junior high and elementary.
           Friendswood High School winners include Best of Show artist, Tory Trebig and Gold Medal winners are McKenna Harclerode and Jack Corpening. 
           Junior High winners include Best of Show artist Blake Davis and Gold Medal artist Shellie Anderson.            Elementary winners are Best of Show artist Magan Cotham and Gold Medal artist Theresa Albach.

Friendswood Junior High artists who participated in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art show include the following: Cielo Archuleta, Shakkhar Biswas, Marissa Bjerke, Cali Branham, Sydney Chase, Kailey Coppens, Blair Dressendorfer, Madeline Eiken, Megan Fernandez, Katherine Ferazy, Garrett Garivey, Taylor Gomes Ashley Hayden, Austin James, Yumna Khan, Tabitha Lee, Robert Lewis, Mariah Knoke Melis, Fatima Moosa, William Pope, ZBrooke Powers, Lexi Riley, Abby Roenne, Sarah Salibo, Sarah Smith Emily Thornhill and Lindsey Woolard.
