The Friendswood High School Wranglerette Dance Team sent six dance soloists to compete at the Crowd Pleasers South Houston Showcase at Clear Springs High School recently. 
           Soloists who qualified for Division I ratings were seniors Ashley Cupples and Amanda Nobles, juniors Lexie Everett and Tiffany Turner and sophomores Emily Cain and Alyssa Waller.

           In the Senior Solo division category (11th and 12th grade), Ashley Cupples, Amanda Nobles, and Lexie Everett were named finalists. Ashley Cupples won first place and Lexie Everett was third runner up. 
           In the Junior Solo division (9th and 10th grade), Emily Cain was named as a finalist and third runner up in the Junior solo division.
           The Wranglerettes are under the direction of Kara Baker and assistant director Ashley Caterina.
