 Pipkin has been in FISD for 12 years. As a former math teacher, she has a strong curriculum background. She coached FHS Girls’ Volleyball teams and led them to state several times.
“Ms. Pipkin brings many skills to this position and I look forward to the contributions she will make to the Junior High School and specifically to the sixth grade,” Superintendent Trish Hanks said. “She is excited about the opportunity to work with teachers from Bales and Windsong and the Friendswood Junior High School.”
 FISD’s Lead Counselor Debbie Woodson has been given additional responsibilities. She will be Director of Guidance and Counseling and will be the sixth grade counselor at the FJH Sixth Grade Center. She will also continue her duties as lead counselor for the district. She will split her time between sixth grade and assisting in many of the same areas that she currently oversees.
With 31 years of educational experience, Woodson has been a school counselor for more than 20 years, both in Deer Park at the elementary level and at FHS.
Bales’ Assistant Principal Anne Phelps has been reassigned as an Assistant Principal at FHS. She was formerly a high school teacher, high school counselor, and high school assistant principal before moving to Texas.
“She brings a variety of experiences and will be an asset to the high school’s administrative team,” Hanks said.
