The Friendswood High School Marching Band earned a Division One Rating at UIL Region 17 Marching Contest recently at Dickinson High School.
      All three judges gave the band a superior rating.

       This result qualified the band to advance to the UIL Area F Marching Contest on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Northshore High School. The FHS Band performed at 1:30 pm along with 12 other 4A bands. The top two bands will advance to state on Nov. 3 in San Antonio. The contest ran from 12:15 to 4 pm.
      This is the tenth consecutive year the FHS Marching Band has earned a Division I at UIL Region Marching Contest.
      “The kids are working hard and we are proud of them. Thank you to everyone for your support!” Band Director Greg Dick said. Dick is joined by Aaron Brown, Julio Sanchez and Ron Barnet in working with FHS band.
