Friendswood High School’s University Interscholastic League’s (UIL’s) One Act Play entry won District and Advances to Area Contest April 8 with their production of Hamlet. 
            Several actors received medals at the District level.
            All Star Cast UIL Silver medal was given to Jeff Allison, senior, in his role of Polonius; Mason Conrad, senior, in the role of Hamlet; and Christ Hailey, senior, in his role of Claudius.
            Honorable mention to All Star Cast UIL Bronze medal was given to Kaylee Huff, senior in the role of Ophelia and Lindsey Landers, senior in the role of Gertrude.
            Area III contest site is Clements High School in Sugar Land.
