On Friday, the Lady Mustangs traveled to Pearland’s Dawson.  The Lady Mustangs would struggle at the plate, but would get enough hits at the right time to come away with the victory.
The Lady Mustangs would not get a hit until the fifth inning, when they would score four unearned runs on a big grand slam from Rylie Kohls to put the Lady Mustangs up 6-2.  The Lady Mustangs would add three more runs in the 6th to put the game out of reach.
Others contributing offensively were Amber Mills with a hit and scoring one run;  Caitlin Garivey had a hit, and scored two runs; Lindsey Davis scored a run and had an RBI. Lauren Massar had a run, and had three RBI’s. Tori Homer had a hit and scored a run.  Missy Jesionowski and Christina Peck would each score a run.  Lauren Massar got the win on the mound giving up three runs, two of them earned and having three strikeouts.
This runs the Lady Mustangs record to 18-9 overall and 8-1 in district.  Next up is LaMarque on Tuesday at Friendswood, and then at Manvel on Friday.
