News: FHS to present Music Man

            Friendswood High School is celebrating 43 yeas of musical history with its production of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man. The fun musical is set to open Feb. 18  at 7 pm in the FHS auditorium.
            The story centers around Harold Hill, a travelling con man, who is trying to sell band instruments and uniforms. He sets his sights on the unsuspecting town of River City, Iowa. Iowa stubbornness and honesty bring about a new outlook on life for Hill who finds, for the first time in his life, that he has really gotten his foot stuck in the door.
            Leads in the musical include Jeff Allison as Harold Hill and  Audrey Bounds as Marian Paroo.
            Other leads include the following actors/actresses: Meredith DuBose, Chris Hailey, Abbey Griffon, Josh Karam, Blythe Dever, Mason Conrad, Brian Gallagher, Vinnie Mahal, Nathan Stevens, Peter Kaminsky, Caleb Wimer, Katie Barton Haley Holtje, Lindsey Landers, Stephanie Porter, Haden Holtje, Noelle Zoch, Cam Morris, Justin Barringer, Zach Brinkman,  Michael Gregory, Aaron Holloway, Jon Olansen, Mason Patterson, Noah Peden, Tommy Stuart, and Connor Tones.
            Directors for the production include Producer  Dr. Myrlene Kennedy, Drama Director Amy Thornton, Vocal Music Director is Janwin Overstreet-Goode, Choreographer Ashley Caterina, Accompanist Leta Horan, and Instrumental Music Director Julio Sanchez.
            The Music Man will run Feb. 18, 19, 25, 26 at 7 pm and Feb. 27 at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $7 and are available at the door.
