Friendswood High School Health Occupations Students of America HOSA will advance to state in Corpus Christie in April after competition held recently.
            In CPR, Beth Armstrong and Samantha Buerger placed first with Ross Settle and Quynh-Thu in second place.
            In CERT, Laura Thomas and Travis Warden placed second.
            In Epidemiology, Sarah Faxel placed third.
            Jasmin Auzenne placed first in Prepared Speaking.
            In the HOSA Bowl, Josh Liddle, Michael Burke and Michael DeNicola placed third.
            In Medical Reading, Brooke Bartholomew, Bianca Garza and Jordan Salley received first place and Courtney Scruggs, Jon Olanson, and Kandace Oliver received second place.
            Allison Thurman placed second in Career Health Poster.
            Samantha Buerger competed in Outstanding HOSA Chapter. DeDe White competed in Chapter Newsletter. Samantha Genzer competed in National Recognition and National HOSA Week.
            Beth Armstrong received a $2000 scholarship and ROel Benavides and Jasmin Auzenne won a $1000 scholarship.
