The Friendswood Academic Octathlon team competed in Katy and brought back numerous honors recently.
            In individual awards, three levels of students won awards.
            In Varsity students, David Snowden won first place in Language and Literature, Music, Art, and Economics.  He received first place in Varsity overall. Jake Bullington received second place in Math.
            With Scholastic students, three placed. Sam Lu was awarded first place in Math, Dylan Zawila won third place in Math and Sean Lipscomb received third place in Super Quiz.           
            With Honor students, Bryan Holcombe was awarded third place in Social Science, Economics, and Math. Derek Janak placed third in Math.
            In Team Awards, the Friendswood team earned second place in Super Quiz and fourth place Overall.
            The FISD team consisted of members Jenny Baglio, Derek Janak, Bryan Holcombe, Sean Lipscomb, Dylan Zawila, Sam Lu, Jake Bullington, Nadjezhda Laird, David Snowden, Maddie Ehrlich, Bobby McDonald, Kristen Ryan, Alex Hansen, and Nathan Tat.
