Friendswood ISD Community Education offers a year round program of classes in Karate for children and adults. The focus of these classes is to provide an opportunity for students to learn techniques in art, sport, self-defense, and self-confidence aspects of American Karate, from white to black belt.
Two sessions are scheduled for the spring, 2011, program. The first session of Karate, with separate classes for youths (ages 5-12) and adults (ages 13-70) begins Thursday, January 13, and runs through March 31, for a total of 11 classes and costs $40 per person. The second session of Karate, called the Mini-Session, begins Thursday, April 7. It, too, has separate classes for youths and adults, lasts 8 weeks, and ends on May 26. Precise class times and location will be announced on the FISD Community Education webpage.
For the first time ever, Community Education will have gift certificates available for holiday gift-giving. The gift certificates are for the course fees, only, and do not apply to the required uniform cost. Please call the office for information, 281-482-6000. |
