Friendswood High School’s Mighty Mustang Band will host, for the first time, a marching band competition on Saturday, October 2, at the school’s newly renovated Henry Winston Stadium.
Fourteen high school marching bands, including Friendswood High School’s 2010 4A Silver Medalist State Champion Mighty Mustang Band, will perform at Saturday’s event.
The other bands competing in the Friendswood Marching Band Festival are Lamar, Brazosport, Clear Falls, Texas City, Morton Ranch, Woodlands College Park, Dawson, Dripping Springs, Brazoswood, James E. Taylor, Alvin, Pasadena Memorial, Clear Brook, and Seven Lakes, in order of performance.
“We are excited to showcase an outstanding lineup of Houston-area marching bands, as well as show off our new stadium,” said Greg Dick, FHS Director of Bands.
Gates open at 11:30 a.m. with performances beginning at 12:30 p.m. The Mighty Mustang Band will perform in exhibition at 9:30 p.m.
The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children, six years and under free. |
